I haven’t written in a while. I still am an avid sports fan, still love going to watch games etc, but my evenings now consist of ‘B!!!!!’ (In toddler speak, ‘B’ is short for Blippi, akin to a Ms Rachel who does educational videos/content for kids. So, my evenings, have transformed into ‘B!!!’ which is code for Harrison clumbing on me and cuddling with me, hastily saying ‘diff’ (different), while trying to find the perfect Blippi video, despite my protests, ‘Bud (Dude) haven’t we seen this one?!?’ To which, I get a dissatisfied, sigh or glare like, ‘No Dad, whatever are you talking about?!? Blippi now!’

So to say me writing hasn’t been on the radar, would be partially true. I live for time with my son and family, even when Harrison’s laying elbows into Dar’s chest, that Macho Man Randy Savage would be proud of, (if you don’t know you should, but old wwf wrestler, look him up).

BUT

What I saw today from The New York Football Giants, today, I’m not sure I can find a disappointing word to describe my feelings. See, those that know me, I live for this, been a fan basically since birth, my Dad and I, my Uncles and I, there’s nostalgia there, a lot of great memories.

Lately, for the team, for the past several years, times have been rough. They’ve gone from First Class to, bottom feeder, mediocrity is not only acceptable, its at times looked unattainable! It’s all become, Jet-like.

This year, the draft, training camp felt different. They’ve gone drafted right. They drafted Abdul Carter, a freak on defense, they drafted a QB, Jaxson Dart who looked ready in the preseason.

They had something they havent had ina decade, hope.

So today, I was pumped, I read they might play Dart some, Malik Nabers was healthy and I wanted to see Abdul tear it up.

The results?

Dart, DNP. The vet, Russell Wilson did, which is fine, but he was awful 17/37 (awful), he LED Them in Rushing, with 44 yards!!!! (Atrocious!!!) Nabers, 5 catches, Carter 1 TACKLE, 2 assists and HALF a sack.

And the Oline, you suck, Andrew Thomas is hurt and that sucks, but have some pride! Same thing with the defense, get off the field on third down, good God!

Next week, be better! Start Dart! Let Carter loose…..ACT professional and dont let the other team manhandle you like they’re your older brother home from college!!!
